Outings, Special Events, Projects and Fundraisers
Outings
As a scout, it is our duty to give back to our community. Scouts are expected to participate in all community service activities. Projects Scouts are expected to help their Kouyr's & Yeghpayr's when they have Eagle Scout Projects. Fundraisers Scouts are expected to participate in all fundraisers held by our troop. These funds help get them project supplies, camping gear, fun outings, etc. |
Uniform Guidelines
Regular Scouts Uniform: Every Saturday, a scout is expected to arrive in their proper uniform. Uniforms vary by group and gender. They are required to come to scouts properly groomed; hair must be pulled out of the face, beards must be kept trimmed, and any makeup, jewelry, or nail polish worn must be kept modest. If a scout does not arrive in acceptable uniform, they may be asked to sit out.
Here is what is worn for regular scouts:
Full Uniform: Is worn for Award Ceremonies or other special occasions. It is similar to what a scout wears to every Saturday, except with the addition of full black shoes (no white or color). Once again, full uniform differs slightly between groups.
Class B Uniform: For outings, camps and projects scouts must always wear their scout T-shirts with appropriate bottoms and shoes. T-shirts can be purchased for $15 a shirt directly from our front office and a committee member will be more than happy to help you.
Please refer to the group specific uniform guides below to know which color shirt and uniform (with the patch arrangements) must be worn by your scout.

Cub Scouts & Webelos
Cub Scout - Wolves: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
Cub Scout - Bears: 3rd Grade
Webelos 1: 4th Grade
Webelos 2: 5th Grade
The Cub Scout program focuses on teaching valuable skills to children as they go through elementary. These values and skills that are taught will be very useful when they begin their scouting career. The Cub Scout group is for both girls & boys and the program consists of a variety of activities from knot tying, to learning basic first aid, to fun arts and crafts. We go on many fun outings throughout the year separate from the older scouts.
Cub Scouts work on badges called "Adventures" which will help them get each achievement respective to their group. The highest achievement in Cub Scouting is the Arrow of Light, which is earned while the scout is in 5th grade. This Arrow of Light rank is a precursor to the Eagle Scout rank that they will work towards achieving while they are a boy/girl scout. Upon earning these adventures and ranks, the scout will be awarded the respective badge at the next awards ceremony. See below for the direct links for the book your scout needs depending on which group they're in.
Getting these values and skills taught at an early age really helps the scout retain the information and gives them more experience that will help them not only in scouts but in life. Not to mention that cub scouting is SUPER fun! Our top priority as leaders is to ensure that the kids are learning in a fun and safe environment.
Please refer to our uniform sheet to see where everything earned belongs and what to purchase.

Older Boys & Girls Scouts
Grades: 6th - 12th
Our older Boy and Girl Scouts are dedicated to bettering both themselves, and the community around them. Their journey starts at the Scout rank and ends with the highest award in scouting, the Eagle rank. To do this, they will need to complete requirements in their scouting handbook with their leader and earn merit badges by completing the necessary packets. They can be tested by merit badge counselors, who will be assigned to the scout by their direct leader. See below for the direct links for the book your scout needs depending on gender.
As they grow older, rank up, and learn leadership skills, they will advance through our patrol system. For the boys, they will start out as Tigers, move on to Hawks, and culminate their path to Eagle in the Shark patrol. For the girls, they will start out as Deer, move on to Snakes, and culminate their path to Eagle in the Panther patrol.
Throughout this journey, they will add various badges and pins to their uniform. Please refer to our uniform sheet to see where everything earned belongs and what to purchase.
